Warning: If you believe in Guardian Angels, you may be creeped out by the image of Guardian Angels that Lia Scott Price presents. It's too disturbing for the mainstream to accept that a pop culture icon such as a Guardian Angel can be anything else but good. Lia Scott Price's works give an alternate view on why we should not rely on a supernatural, higher power to always save us.
Do you believe in Guardian Angels? Do you pray for help to them? Are you desperate? Suicidal? Want your problems to end? Stop praying right now. Because your Guardian Angel hates you. And they hate their job. They've gone crazy trying to answer millions of prayers. They can't keep up. You all expect to be saved, protected, watched over. And they are sick and tired of your prayers. If you whine to one, they put you out of your misery. Your Guardian Angel is now a Serial Killer, and a Vampire. They kill you with sharp weapons instead of help you, so they don't have to answer your prayers anymore. They target people in despair and use prayers as a homing device to find you, and feed on you. They seduce, rape, kill, lust for power, and exploit human weaknesses. So do you really know who you're praying to? Don't depend on a supernatural being to save you. You don't know who you're summoning. Meet Lia Scott Price's Serial Killer and Vampire Guardian AngelsTM, characters from her books and films.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Lia Scott Price is a film producer who turns her novels into films through her production company Lia Scott Price Productions Inc. She produces these promotional feature films and film shorts as a way to promote her vampire characters.
The films are based on her Vampire Trilogy Book "The Guardian, Revenant, and Dominion" featuring her Serial Killer and Vampire Guardian AngelsTM. The films are based on scenes from her vampire trilogy novel, and are also various adaptations, versions, and interpretations of her characters. Because this is what a Guardian Angel could be.
"My filming style was influenced by X-Files, Hitchcock, Twin Peaks, and The Twilight Zone, stylistic, not too much splatter, slow-paced, but just enough to be creepy. I wanted to concentrate more on the acting and psychological impact of my stories rather than just becoming another slasher film. I mess with beliefs in pop-culture icons such as angels. I like to be different and experimental. I love that old grainy film look. I do things in the film such as the upside-down angel wings on purpose, as my own little trademark, because to me it is a symbol of how I turned the image of Guardian Angels upside-down." Lia Scott Price's The Guardian is an adaptation of The Guardian (Book 1, Prequel) of her Trilogy Novel The Guardian, Revenant, and Dominion, and features a Serial Killer Guardian AngelTM, a prequel before they turned into Vampires. (Note: This is Price's non-vampire film.) The Guardian gives you a reason not to pray to Guardian Angels. Anyone praying to a Guardian Angel unleashes something evil. In the film version, a student tries to warn people not to pray to guardian angels, and in the meantime, a disillusioned guardian angel stalks a college campus, killing suicidal students. The student becomes a target of the Angel after her boyfriend leaves her and she prays for an end to her pain to her Guardian Angel. It’s a very different adaptation from the novel, but features the Serial Killer Guardian Angel character.
Lia Scott Price's "Dominion" is an adaptation of her novel Dominion (Book 3) from her Trilogy Novel The Guardian, Revenant, and Dominion. Dominion is Price's first Vampire film. A reporter follows strange events in Torrance, California. A local horror novelist's Vampire Guardian AngelTM character comes to life and begins a killing spree which leaves the local Torrance CA P.D. baffled. The Vampire Guardian Angel targets despairing and suicidal people and prefers to use weapons to slice open victims (biting involves too much struggling), hunts by daylight, and is invincible to crucifixes and holy water. A Torrance PD Detective attempts to track down the mystery killer. It's a fresh, new twist on traditional Vampire and Guardian Angel images. In the meantime, don't pray for an end to your troubles to your Guardian Angel. You never know what they are!
"Early on in my career I did a short, low budget film for Lia Scott Price called "Dominion". Several of my actor friends had worked with her before and I was a fan of her dark, funny, horror writing. Artists like Lia, working with super-low budgets, out of the mainstream, need to be supported. She's got a singular, sick vision and is a hell of a lot of fun. (No pun intended) I urge you to check out her stuff!" --Rainn Wilson, Actor (The Office)
